Guadalupe Vargas — Education & Outreach Assistant/ Teaching Artist

Guadalupe Vargas grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was heavily involved with hip hop culture. Through dance, art, and music, he became involved with the youth community. Working with various youth centers, he has helped many troubled teens channel their energy and creativity in a more positive direction. In 1997, Guadalupe took part in a workshop the Santa Fe Youth Detention Center. He enjoyed the visit to Santa Fe so much that to this day he still calls Santa Fe home. Through the years, he has mentored Santa Fe youth at Harambe, Warehouse 21, Monte del Sol and the Santa Fe art Institute.
